one each in England and Northern Ireland, totalling 200,000ft2
(18,500m2) offering a comprehensive range of toughened (tempered)
and laminated glass and a stock glass Merchanting service. We also
specialise in a wide range of additional processes such as
precision waterjeting, screen printing, acrylic paint finishes,
Ritec EasyClean coating technology and sandblasting. All these plus
the more traditional hole cutting and drilling, polishing
(including edge profiling), bevelling and be-spoke cut sizes.
We understand the logistics of efficiently
transporting glass and our specialist packaging facilities ensure
all our goods are delivered in perfect condition on our own fleet
of vehicles designed to transport glass safely and securely.
We are experienced in the export of our products
and orders for overseas delivery are expertly packed in wooden
crates suitable for shipment by sea, air, rail or road
freight.

Independent Glass Co. Ltd. operate a Quality System that has
been certified by BSI to conform to ISO9001:2008, holding
certificate no FM 14803.
History
1988 - Founded in Glasgow as glass merchant and
toughened glass manufacturer for the toughened glass market. Became
full member of Glass and Glazing Federation.
1989 - Commenced supply of specialist glass to
the bus and coach market.
1997 - Approved for supply of glass to railway
market.
2005 - Accepted as full supplier member of
Railway Industry Association.
Accepted as full supplier member of Rail Safety and Standards
board.
2006 - Quality Tempered Glass in Mansfield
acquired as wholly owned subsidiary adding laminated glass
manufacture to the Independent Glass portfolio in addition to
increasing toughened glass manufacturing capacity.
2011 - Became member of Rail Alliance.
